Music is my life.

Well, not all of it. But a great deal revolves around music – buying, collecting, obsessing over it – and so on. I sometimes wonder what makes music so appealing. For me, it allows an escape. It’s a pleasure for your ears. You can put headphones on and be transported into a story of the song playing. Or experience a trip, who knows? I especially enjoy Japanese music. I have no clue. It could be that the production styles of many Japanese songs are vastly different from what I hear close to home. Maybe it’s the allure of an exotic tongue (or that it’s easier to read than Korean).

I created this blog as a last-ditch effort to review music once more. I had tried many times before, but I was never sure of how I wanted to review music, and as a result was never very consistent with my posts, something that’s obviously needed for a blog to thrive or flourish.

Welcome to the Diamond Railway! As you have probably intuited, this blog is dedicated to – you guessed it – music reviews. I try to keep things on a professional level but occasionally I’ll slip up and just be trolling instead (nothing wrong with that…haha). The rating system is based on every aspect of the album, production, composition, writing, visuals, impact, and overall presentation. Thus, six stars is the highest rating an album/single can receive from me. If something is horrid enough, I’ll just rate it nothing!

Simple enough, right? I also take requests, which you can comment about on the next page over.
